Mike Leonard is the founder of Marathon Shores, LLC. Mike brings 40+ years of professional business & financial experience and expertise in executive management, business growth & development, turn around management, distressed financing for finally challenged companies, commercial & investment banking, acquisitions & divestures, investment management and general management to Marathon Shores.

In 1990 Mike founded JRP Capital Corp. and JRP Consulting Corp. and spearheaded the growth of both financial organizations. As CEO of JRP Capital Corp., a Registered Investment Advisor with the SEC, the organization successful grew its customer base to include Individual Investors, Institutional Clients and Retirement Plans. During Mike's tenure JRP consistently produced positive investment returns, outperforming their peers and the major indices. Prior to JRP, Mike fine turned his skill sets working for Wall Street Investment Companies.

As CEO of JRP Consulting, JRP headed or participated in over $800 million of successful financing transactions for public and private companies. Under Mike's leadership, JRP successfully completed transactions for companies with revenues as little as $500,000 or as large as $85 million. Transactions ranged between $250,000 to as large as $50 million. In addition to traditional financing, under Mike's guidance JRP developed an expertise for financing 'financially distressed companies' and completed approximately $400 million in financings for distressed companies.

In 2006 JRP completed a $30 million transaction for Superior Fibers, LLC and Mike was asked to join the Board of Directors. When Superior experienced some industry challenges, Mike joined the Company as their CEO in November, 2007. As CEO, Mike engineered a successful turnaround through a reduction in Superior's roofline, implementation of lean policies and practices, establishment of a mass customization sales model and completion of a key strategic acquisition. Mike stepped down as CEO when the majority owners sold their position.
